Dear Colleagues,

We are honoured to announce the Course on Leadership and Professional Skills for Early Career Psychiatrists led by Professor Norman Sartorius, Professor Sir Graham Thornicroft and Professor Igor Filipčić in Zagreb, Croatia.

The course is being organized by the University Psychiatric Clinic Sveti Ivan, the Croatian Society for Brain Neurostimulation, the Association for the Improvement of Mental Health “ZAJEDNO”, and the Association for the improvement of mental health care, and supported by the Croatian Psychiatric Association (HPD), the City of Zagreb, and the Association for the Improvement of Mental Health Programmes, Geneva (AIMHP). It will take place from 13th to 15th December 2024, at the University Psychiatric Clinic Sveti Ivan in Zagreb, Croatia.

This course will provide the participants with leadership and professional skills such as those that are needed to lead groups, prepare scientific papers, produce project proposals, chair sessions, and present ideas in meetings.

English language proficiency is a prerequisite for enrollment in the course. The maximum number of attendees is 16.

Application process:

1. In order to apply, please submit the following documents:

– Curriculum vitae

– Motivational letter

– Signed reference letter from your institution stating that you are a psychiatry trainee or within 5 years of completing your specialist training (maximum age of 40)

3. Deadline for application: 15th October 2024.

4. Before selection, the fluency of English will be verified through online video calls.

Cost of attendance: Attending the course is free of charge.

Lunch, coffee and refreshments during the break will be organised for the Participants in the Leadership

The present survey aims to collect information about any campaign to combat mental health, mental disorder or treatment related stigma undertaken in your country in the last ten years and to evaluate the interest of the NPA you represent in promoting anti-stigma campaigns in the future.

 

We thank you in advance for your participation, which will help the Steering Committee of the Council of NPAs to gather information and inform the next steps of the project.
